Our managing director celebrated a milestone recently. The 10th anniversary of creating Rawson Digital. And it certainly was a celebration to remember.
The history of Rawson Digital
The photocopier and printer business was launched from Vaughn’s back bedroom. Yes, you read that right. The company you know today as Rawson Digital started from the spare room in Vaughn’s home and grew into the huge success it is today. With years of experience in the photocopier and printer industry, Vaughn decided he was going to set up on his own. So in 2012 Rawson Digital was born from very humble beginnings with just one member of staff, Vaughn was sales, admin, and accounts you name it he wore the hat.
Rawson Digital Office
Vaughn spent two years building the brand doing sales on the road and conducting office work from his back bedroom. He then made moved to Wrexham industrial estate to set up an office and began employing more staff to help drive the business forward. Fast forward 12 years and Rawson Digital is now turning over a healthy profit each year and currently employs 27 people. The business has also grown to include Rawson IT services and R-EV and Solar, both of which have come from the growing success of Rawson Digital.
10th Anniversary Celebration
As Vaughn had reached the milestone of 10 years in business he wanted to thank everyone who had helped him achieve this. This included customers who had been there from the beginning and suppliers like Ricoh, who took the chance to work with Vaughn when he was little known in the photocopier industry. Carden Park in Cheshire was chosen as the venue to host the event. The grounds and facilities were a stunning location to use.
The evening began with a champagne reception with a meet and greet for friends, family and customers.
This was followed by a 3-course meal, with the evening ending with entertainment in the form of a take that tribute band and a rock band covers groups to end the evening.
There was also a charity raffle held to raise money for close friends of Vaughn who suffer from life-changing conditions. A gorgeous necklace was donated by Boodles of Chester to be the prize for the raffle.
